Restorative Reiki Workshop




Katarina is a long-time student of yoga starting at the ripe age of 18 when she, her mind and her body had a date with destiny to become better friends, a more cohesive group, you could say. Through years of practice and study, yoga has been the path that has led her toward a state of greater harmony in her inner and outer worlds. Her classes are led with qualities of mindfulness, safe alignment, personal attention and a healthy dose of humour. They also provide continuous encouragement to listen inward knowing that your body and breath are your greatest teachers. In terms of experience, Katarina has trained and taught globally searching for schools of yoga that inspire her and as such, would be of benefit to her students. She has trained with Modo Yoga, Sivananda Yoga and Vedanta, Frank Jude Boccio’s Mindfulness-Based Yoga, Yin yoga, Baron Baptiste Power Yoga and Natalie Rousseau’s Vinyasa yoga. This lover of movement and stillness will inspire you to befriend your body and mind, too, one baby step at a time.

Reiki: Rei, meaning Universal and Ki, meaning Energy is a healing modality whereby we allow the Universal Energy that exists in all things to pass through the healer to the recipient as a resource for the wisdom of the recipient’s body to heal itself. Reiki works on the level of the body commonly known as the Astral Body or the Etheric Body which includes encompasses the energetic system (related to the nervous system), the mind (emotions, subconscious, memories, beliefs, thoughts), and the intellect (ego). When these systems are functioning healthily, one can expect that the body will also function more healthily as they are inherently interconnected. Through treatment a person can expect to experience a reduction in physical pain, sleep difficulties, mental health issues such as anxiety or depression, a more balanced nervous system, and an overall feeling of safety, peace and wellbeing. Experiencing Reiki is the single best way to fully grasp it’s benefits.
